Cairo: 5-Day City Break Experience

Day 1: Arrival in Cairo – Welcome to Egypt

• Meet & greet at Cairo International Airport.
• Private transfer to your hotel.
• Evening at leisure. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 2: The Giza Plateau, Sakkara & Memphis

• Visit the Great Pyramids of Giza (Khufu, Khafre, Menkaure) and the Sphinx.
• Optional (extra fee): enter a pyramid or enjoy a camel/horse ride.
• Explore Sakkara and the Step Pyramid of Djoser, Egypt’s earliest pyramid.
• Continue to Memphis, ancient capital, to see the Colossus of Ramses II and the Alabaster Sphinx.
• Return to hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 3: Egyptian Museum, Cairo Citadel & Old Cairo

• Morning at the Egyptian Museum → see Tutankhamun’s treasures, mummies, statues, and more.
• Visit the Cairo Citadel, including the Mohamed Ali Mosque, with panoramic city views.
• Explore Old Cairo → Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and Church of St. Sergius.
• Return to hotel. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 4: Relaxation or Optional Alexandria Excursion

• Free day to relax, explore Cairo at leisure, or join an optional Alexandria day trip:
  – Bibliotheca Alexandrina – modern library honoring the ancient landmark.
  – Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa – a fascinating Greco-Roman burial site.
  – Qaitbay Citadel – a 15th-century fortress built on the site of the Lighthouse of Alexandria.

• Evening return to Cairo. Overnight in Cairo.

Day 5: Departure from Cairo

• Breakfast and check-out.
• Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your departure.
